I am a 29 year old wig wearer even though I have hair (shoulder length). I think they are so convenient. The one I wear does not look like a wig but looks like my hair. I may wear one for three months and wear my natural hair for two months and back to wigs. While I wear a wig, I keep my hair healthy by getting regular shampoos and conditioners. I get alot of compliments on my hair and people are surprised when they find out it is a wig. Does anyone else wear wigs long term for fashion purposes?

I know Jessica Simpson wears wigs all the time, but her’s look real. I know they might be $$$, but I also don’t want real human hair on my head anyway. If anyone knows of a good website or something, I’d appreciate that info~ Thanks!

I have a wig that is really long and I decided to wash it since it was difficult to remove all the tangles before. After I have washed it, I noticed that the tangles became even worse than before!! D: It looks like a bush!!! How can I untangle the wig??? Please help…

It would seem like black women know how to grow their hair long so that they don’t have to wear extensions. Is it because they don’t have time to take care of it? My sister has long natural hair and she’s one of the very few black females I see with long hair, she takes good care of her hair.

Is your hair completely covered if you have a lace front?

I bought this super long wig for a cosplay (costume) that will take place at a convention later this year. I heard though that this material mats and tangles very easily. I want it to look nice for when the convention occurs and afterwards too.
How do I care for this properly to ensure that as little knots and tangles occur?
Also, in the worst case, how do I de-tangle it? Are there products that might help?
Thanks!

I have an inexpensive (about $2-3) long black wig. I want to cut it shorter and add bangs, which it does not have. Should I cut the bangs from the hair (like a regular person’s hair) or attach it with glue or some other adhesive?
